You, the Jury
Author(s):
Anne Coulter Martens
This jury play has unusual audience appeal in that members of the audience are summoned as jurors and their verdict actually does determine the outcome of the trial. Bill, a college student holding a number of part-time jobs, is accused by one of his employers of the theft of an unsealed envelope containing three $100 bills. He doesn't deny that he had access to the money. The witnesses called to testify for Bill are contradictory. It is a fine play with illuminating overtones on law and circumstantial evidence. Bare stage w/props.
